New York City for the Weekend

New York City for the Weekend

Earlier this fall, I went to New York City over my fall break to tour colleges! I toured NYU, FIT, and Parsons. It has always been my dream to go to school and live in the city after graduation, so going to tour was so exciting! I'm going to walk you through my weekend and let you know what to expect on these tours!

The NYU tour was very impressive! NYU has such amazing resources and programs, one being their study abroad program (which is a must for me).

Dinner later that night at La Esquina

La Esquina is a MUST GO! It is an underground restaurant with the COOLEST vibes and fun atmosphere. It is a reservation only restaurant, so you have to start calling 30 days before. T=But the food is AMAZING and I go everytime I am in town.

What I wore:

Top: I got this from a small boutique in Jackson, MS called fourty-four fifty

Jeans: just a pair of plain black jeans

Shoes: SOL SANA

Earrings: red tassel earrings to add some fun!

Starting the next day on the subway on the way to Parsons ... obviously not a morning person!!!

 So exciting!

So exciting!

Parsons blew me away! I have always been interested in fashion and design and this is THE school for it. The guides and speakers made you feel excited and ready to go! All the classrooms were very hightech and modern; it was definetly a NEW school.

Next, I went to FIT. I was expecting myself to really like this school, but for some reason it just did not click. I was sad that I did not enjoy it because I really love the majors they offer. But that is a prime example of why you NEED to tour the schools your interested in because you need to get the feel of what the school is really like.
